The Museum Exhibit project with Mr. Adam Foote and his 9 Honors Civics classes was created as a means by which students could show what they learned about the Pittsburgh region (a required component to the curriculum). The final product enabled students to use an array of technologies: Planner 5D, Google Docs and Images, Prezi, and Thinglink.
The students followed 5 steps to create their museum exhibit: Step 1: Design Your Space
Brainstorm: What will be in your space?
Prewrite the content of your timeline
Consider the pictures that will be hung in the exhibit
Consider the artifacts that you will place in the display case
Step 2: Curate (the selection of your content for the exhibit)
Step 3: Develop your Timeline with Prezi
Step 4: Use Planner 5D to design the space
Include several pictures with a plaque (text) that explains the significance of the image
Include two TV monitors to display your timeline and a related video
Place at least two related artifacts in your display case with a plaque (text) that explains the significance of the item(s)
Step 5: Bring it all together in Thinglink Thinglink allows the student to:
add tags for their Prezi timeline
add tags to images in their exhibit that explain the image
