Students were asked to choose a seated member of Congress who is or will be seeking re-election and develop a website that promotes the candidate. The role of the student is likened to that of a campaign manager, an important person who is well versed in the candidate's life, family, education, previous employment, current stance on issues, committee work s/he has done while in office, and proposed solutions to problems facing our country today.
The project requires the student-campaign manager to develop a website, a video about the candidate, and a sign with a slogan that will be used throughout the campaign.
After conducting research in the library, the students used Google Sites to create their website, iMovie to create their commercial, and any platform they like for their slogan and campaign sign.
